It’s great to meet you!
I am an Enrolled Agent and a 30+ year veteran of the tax industry. I actually started by being volunteered to do taxes while in the U.S. Air Force. Later, while working in the real estate industry, I became the office tax expert because I would actually research my client’s tax questions.
A few years later, a co-worker said, “You know you could actually be paid to do taxes.” That prompted me to take a tax course – well, that and the fact that the local real estate market was in the tank.
I’ve now seen the tax business as a taxpayer, tax preparer, IRS rep and franchise owner/operator. At all times it was my mission to find and take advantage of every legal tax advantage for my clients. This may be why I was not so comfortable when the IRS tried to train me in collections.
Anyway, after five interesting years, I left the IRS (in 2004) and immediately opened my own Tax office, where I still enjoy fulfilling my mission.
Over the last 25 years I have developed a unique set of skills and experiences in IRS audit, collections and representation for both individuals and small businesses.

PS — If you are discussing your tax situation over the telephone with other firms, be sure to ask them one important question:
“Are you a licensed tax professional that is legally eligible to offer me tax advice, or are you a salesman?”
This is by far the single most important question you should ask anybody trying to offer you tax advice. If they are a salesperson, I highly encourage you to run quickly in the opposite direction.
